I read this article earlier today and it really made me feel better. For some reason, knowing that the turn the country is making isn't new and has survived before, left me feeling comforted. Old ideas in a new package. It's worth the read.

Very interesting. Although it didn't really make me feel much better. Through a lot of hard work by church members in California the Lord saw to it that Prop 8 passed. If it is not in the Lord's purposes just yet that our Constitution collapse then he will see to it that it doesn't. But probably only after we have all really worked hard at saving it. (A sister missionary from Southern Cal. that I work with a lot as a ward missionary has been telling me all about what her mom and other church members have been doing to see that prop 8 passed.) I think the only key is going to be educating the masses about what socialism really is and how it has played out on the world stage over the past 100 or so years. With the socialists in charge of public education this seems like a losing battle.
